How Long Do You Have to File a Personal Injury Lawsuit in South Carolina? 

In South Carolina, you have a limited amount of time to file a personal injury lawsuit. The deadline for filing your lawsuit, known as the statute of limitations, is three years from the date on which you were injured. There are very few exceptions to this rule; in most cases, if you wait more than three years to file a lawsuit, your case will be dismissed and you will not be able to seek compensation in court.
