Meet Lisa Lanier

Bio
Lisa Lanier was born in High Point, North Carolina. She received her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Lisa worked as an associate for a large law firm in the Triangle for several years practicing insurance defense. In 1995, she began her own practice, concentrating on helping people with all types of injury claims.
In the Media
Lisa appears frequently on local radio and television commenting on legal stories in the news. She has weekly radio segments on Energy 92.1 and WKZQ, where she holds the title of "Official Attorney" and comments on funny or trending legal stories in a segment called “Lawyer Up.” Lisa is also a recurring guest lecturer at Wake Forest University, where she lectures on Journalism Law.
Personal Life
Lisa is married and has three children. She has been a long-distance runner for years and has completed many marathons and one triathlon. She also enjoys snow skiing, golf, and water sports. She is an active member of the United Church of Chapel Hill.

Community Involvement
Lisa serves on the Regional Advisory Board for BB & T Bank and the Board of Trustees at Duke School and Art For Hospice. She has served in the past on the Board of Directors for Equality NC and the Interactive Resource Center and as an officer with the NC Association of Women Attorneys. Triangle Business Leader has recognized Lisa as an Impact Leader and by Martindale-Hubbell® as a Distinguished Attorney with a Very High Rating in Legal Ability and Ethical Standards.
Lisa has a passion for helping people experiencing homelessness, as well as veterans. She and her Lanier Law Group family engage in weekly outreach to homeless centers all over the state to help people identify benefits and services they may be entitled to. She also donates and serves meals to large gatherings of people at shelters throughout the state.
